  • What is the Student Travel Award Program?

The Southeastern Bat Diversity Network (SBDN) established an annual Student Travel Award in 2006 to financially assist one student attending the North American Symposium on Bat Research (NASBR). If you are a student enrolled in a university in the Southeastern US and are planning to give an oral or poster presentation at NASBR, you are qualified to apply for a student travel award from SBDN.

Krusac-Belwood Student Research Award

The Krusac-Belwood Award was created in 2023 with an endowment fund established by Jacqueline J. Belwood and Dennis L. Krusac through the Southeastern Bat Diversity Network (SBDN). Its goal is to provide a single annual award of $2,000 to an upper-level undergraduate or master’s level student to support field-based ecological research on bats in the southeastern United States.
