2025 Joint South Carolina/Georgia Bat Blitz Registration

Blitz participants should be current bat researchers, researchers or managers hoping to gain experience, and students interested in gaining bat sampling experience in the field.

Ideal participants are rabies-vaccinated and able to assist with netting activities. However, all managers/biologists/students/professionals with an interest in gaining bat sampling experience and connecting with regional bat researchers are welcome to join.

If you would like to be a Team Leader for the Blitz, please contact Maggie Hunt (maggie.hunt@dnr.ga.gov) prior to registering for the Blitz. Maggie will provide Team Leaders with a private registration link, with free group lodging included.

Please note that on-site Student and Professional registrations have limited-availability, group (non-private) accommodations during the Blitz, located at University of Georgia’s Center for Research and Education at Wormsloe (CREW) at Wormsloe Historic Site in Savannah, Georgia.  We only have 12 twin beds available for Professionals, within two cabins at CREW–these cabin rooms typically have three beds. Students will be in group-housing in a loft-style cabin. However, we do have camping available near the cabins on-site and the greater Savannah area has a multitude of hotels if you choose to stay off-site.

We regret that we cannot offer registration refunds for cancellations, as we pay all of our vendors in advance of the blitz.
