Recently, SBDN was recognized by The Wildlife Society (TWS; www.wildlife.org) with TWS’s Outstanding Group Achievement Award. This award is conferred to recognize “an organization’s outstanding wildlife achievement that is consistent with and/or assists in advancing the objectives of The Wildlife Society.” SBDN was specifically acknowledged for Bat Blitzes, response to WNS, facilitation of bat conservation across the Southeastern U.S., and mentorship opportunities for students.
