White Oak Field Trip
Wednesday, February 20th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
The White Oak tour will last approximately 2 hours and will be tailored to the interests of our group. The tour vehicles are open-air, so please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Closed toe shoes are recommended and women should not wear high heel shoes. Cameras are welcome and pictures are encouraged. The mission of White Oak Conservation center is to save endangered wildlife and habitats through sustainable conservation breeding, education, and responsible land stewardship. White Oak works actively on conservation of Florida species including the Florida panther and Florida grasshopper sparrow. And, White Oak manages 16,750 acres of land, including several miles along the St. Mary’s River. White Oak also has a global impact through active participation in conservation activities for some of the most endangered species in the world, including white rhinos, okapi, roan antelope, kudu, and cheetah. Since we are a functioning conservation center, access to or interaction with a specific species is not guaranteed.
